I have very striking dark green eyes, But I find that some eyeshadows make them not appear as striking as they really are.
If I wear black eyeshadow I usually find that brings out my eyes but I want a change, any ideas?What eyeshadow is the best for bringing out green eyes?
gold or bronze are good too. especially if you want a subtle shade.

Try brown eye shadow with a little bet of green on the end of your eye lid. You might want to add a little purple on the middle

I would suggest golds, browns, and bronzes. If you have unique coloured eyes you don't want to have a colour that is going to compete with that thefore I would go with something alittle less flashy.
Purple makes them pop! Deep blue and light purple can really bring them out!
purple, dark blue, mid blue, turquoise, white, grey, browns, golds... the list goes on. green eyes suit a lot of colours, so experiment and find a combo you like, then stick to it.

It's all about color theory. Any color with red undertones will make your green eyes stand out. Now I'm not saying ';Go invest in some red eyeshadow'; Because not many people can pull off pure red eyeshadow without looking like a crack head, haha. A brush works wonders; but as a makeup artist at times I use my finger it depends on the look you seek.

dont use your finger, it just looks messy and uneven to be truthful!!
I find that the brush is the best, they dont cost much and you can use it for LOTS of colours, because you can easily take the previous colour out( while with applicater buds(which you called the soft thingy,lol) keeps the colours in and you are forever replacing them!) I find that it gives a proffessional touch, even though they are so easy!!! Brushes make it fast, simple and great looking!!

I just got a dual ended eyeshadow/eyeliner brush from Avon. This is my first makeup brush. My question is, do I need to clean them?

u dont have to clean them if u use each brush for mainly the same product but if u feel like it is needed u can just run thm under water and dry thm off which does work or u can also sometimes buy brush cleaners at certion cosmetic/ beauty suppy stores.

I want to do a smokey eye for my prom and was thinking about buying Jane Eye Zing eye shadow duo with Clubbing and White lies.
I would have but I heard from some people, others think it does, that it has no staying power and it smudges. I want a really good black, grey and white shadows that will stay all night and with a lot of pigment.

in my experience you have to spend money to have good makeup, for awesome smokey eyes i use estee lauder products. they have a huge variety in colour and in my experience have great staying power.
If you want good pigment then i would try something like Mac, benefit or Urban decay. I've heard that they have good staying power also.
But im in the UK and im guessing you're USA? so i dunno if you will have those brands.

If you have a light complexion try something like Rosy pink ar shimmery light pink. If your complexion is medium to dark try things like shimmering gold, rusty brown etc.
