in my opinion, you should wear a nice Extremely light pink(lining the top and bottom lids and applied w/ an eyeliner brush) then a bronze or gold color lightly coated on your eyelid. It will look really cute. Then apply a coat or 2 of volumizing mascara.
try gold eye shadow it will give u a shimmer, %26amp; compliment ur dress, but not cover ur blue eyes
I would say browns to but also add a little bit of pink to it it looks really pretty. or you could add a pale purple color it depend on what type of dress it is.

You have warm or cool skintone? I agree. It doesn't have to match your clothes, just your skintone. You want to look good for the wedding. Do you wear eyeliner? Consider wearing eyeliner if you don't already. This will open up your blue eyes. This is just me, but I think that brown eyeshadow makes women look tired. I would suggest something on the brighter side.

I would use the champagne color as an all-over base color and then you could use a deep purple as a liner (that way, you can't tell it's purple but as I said before your eyes will really pop)..also try using copper or goldish shimmery powder on the inner half of your eyelids on top of the champagne color for an added sparkle! Experiment before the day of your prom and try layering and blending different combinations to see what you like best because sometimes certain colors that you never would have chosen end up looking the best once they are blended in with the others! Actually, you shouldn't try to match your make up to your outfit. You should use colors that look good with your complexion and are the opposite of your eye color. In other words, I have blue eyes so the last color I should use is blue. I would use pink or something in that pallot. People with green eyes look great with purple. Try a burgundy brown. That way you get the complementary contrast of red to green without the weirdness of the true red. I like MAC. It has a nice subtle glimmer. Another option, and the one I think works best, is get an inexpensive kit with a lot of different colors. They often have them for sale around the holidays. I have Hazel eyes...that are more green than anything else...I LOVE Almay intense i-color for hazel eyes...its almost the same for green eyes, its a nice mixture pallet with a really nice pink, a nice brown and a nice light creme color that has a nice shimmer to it.....it tells you on the package how to apply it for the best results...also if you dont want to do that, use a lavender...it makes green POP so even if you use something so subtle as a lavender eyeliner and blend it in with a nice shade of pink, it would look great. and most eye shadows now have a hint of shimmer. here's the link for Almay intense i-color...I hope you like it!

For the shimmery look I have Mary-Kate and Ashley eyeshadow. It's purple. I also have a light green one. My brown eyeshadow is just a generic brand. I got it all from Wal-Mart lol :]

Try a burgundy brown. That way you get the complementary contrast of red to green without the weirdness of the true red. I like MAC. It has a nice subtle glimmer. Another option, and the one I think works best, is get an inexpensive kit with a lot of different colors. They often have them for sale around the holidays. That way you can play with all sorts of combinations and you'll quickly see what works and what doesn't. Have Fun and Good Luck!

I have Hazel eyes...that are more green than anything else...I LOVE Almay intense i-color for hazel eyes...its almost the same for green eyes, its a nice mixture pallet with a really nice pink, a nice brown and a nice light creme color that has a nice shimmer to it.....it tells you on the package how to apply it for the best results...also if you dont want to do that, use a lavender...it makes green POP so even if you use something so subtle as a lavender eyeliner and blend it in with a nice shade of pink, it would look great. and most eye shadows now have a hint of shimmer. here's the link for Almay intense i-color...I hope you like it!

For the shimmery look I have Mary-Kate and Ashley eyeshadow. It's purple. I also have a light green one. My brown eyeshadow is just a generic brand. I got it all from Wal-Mart lol :]

I would try using varying shades of golds and deep brown for the crease of your eye... as for lighting, just avoid anywhere that isn't well-lit.
When it's a sunny day, I sit next to the window with a mirror to apply makeup.. natural light works well.
I think you should apply make-up at all. You should look beautiful naturally as who you are. Anyways, it saves you time and money, and people will respect you for that...

I think you should apply make-up at all. You should look beautiful naturally as who you are. Anyways, it saves you time and money, and people will respect you for that...

2. My dark shade is Violet, which would be applied only to my lid itself.
3. My middle tone would be my Jade, which would go into the crease of my eye. Circular motions with a shaded brush is the perfect way to apply this. I never EVER suggest using the spongy applicators, I would never leave brushes.
Close your eyelid put on the color and look how you are!

Ok obviously you want a new color to spice up your appearence. You have to pick colors that you think look good together. For example, I think blue and a soft green look good together. So I apply the color I like the best and dab on a little of the other color. You blend it a little with tool and there you go. A new color for you! take a small piece of one color and put it on a napkin then take the other color and put it on the 1st color then smoosh it with your finger and youll have the blend.
All you have to do is combine your favourite colour's.
when i blend my eyeshadow, i always buy new pods.
then i slice the amount of each color i want and place hem in a new pod.
then i gently crush together the chunks and voila there's a brand new color.

You need to apply the colors, then with a light sweep of the applicator, brush the join where the colors meet. You have to use different shades to get the right effect, such as dark blue and white which, when blended in the center, makes azure blue, a 3rd color.

You could try a nice pink or coral blusher instead of the bronzer. I think bronzer works best when the rest of your makeup is in golds and neutrals.

I dont know if you mind ''heavy make up'' but gray tones will make your eyes appear lighter. Closer to a hazel color if you do the ''smokey eye''. Light gray and then outline it in the crease of your eye lid with a darker gray. Then up directly under your eyebrow, do lighter gray again - the lightest shade or a champagne color - then blend lightly with your finger.

*Hazel hues are nicely matched with deep brown and golden shades. Maybe give greens and purple a try too.
*Brown-eyed girls can play up any and all of the neutral tones. Also look into navy, blues and charcoal.

I'm a natural blue eyed blonde as well and i feel your pain!
But I usually go with metallic dark gray colors. I like the smokey eye look and I like the way it makes my eyes look. For everyday, i'd got with just something very light, like a beige, but I don't wear eyeshadow unless i'm being funky and dramatic so I'm not sure. I go all out with cool colors or a smoky eye, or else i just got natural.
A metallic caramel color with a champagne highlighter, and black eyeliner drawn into the lashes half way across on the top and the bottom with two coats of volumizing mascara look gorgeous on blond hair blue eyes! top it off with a nice pinky blue and your good to go :)

i am blonde and have blue eyes too. i use nice browns, goldish browns and even dark black or very dark blue to shade in the crease of my eyelid. i like to make it smokey. but girls with blue eyes should not wear light blue eyeshadows. i hear ur never supposed to wear the same color eyeshadows as the same color as ur eyes. But I usually go with metallic dark gray colors. I like the smokey eye look and I like the way it makes my eyes look. For everyday, i'd got with just something very light, like a beige, but I don't wear eyeshadow unless i'm being funky and dramatic so I'm not sure. I go all out with cool colors or a smoky eye, or else i just got natural.
A metallic caramel color with a champagne highlighter, and black eyeliner drawn into the lashes half way across on the top and the bottom with two coats of volumizing mascara look gorgeous on blond hair blue eyes! top it off with a nice pinky blue and your good to go :)

Are you getting tired of neutral colours? A muted purple with a touch of navy in the crease is what I sometimes wear. Stay clear of greens, it will make your face look yellow. Take a look at how Salma Hayak or Penelope Cruz do their eyes.

A shiimery bronze will bring a subtle attraction to your eyes. Also, if you want to define your eyes, I reccomend using a blck eyeliner on your bottom eye lids.

its kinda hard fining stuff for our eyes and when i go to make up counters they always give me orange and dark blue, but the best thing i have found is brown eyeliner instead of black with brown mascara, green and blue eyeliners will also look really good, for eyeshadow i like using light pink and skin tone colors b.c. other colors take away from our eyes.

A basic idea...
Try using a nude type shade that is peach or beige as a base color and/or highlighter color. Use a pinkish purple or coral shade as an all over lid color (except under the brow), then for the crease use a mid toned brown or beige. Line with a coppery brown. You can also use a pink eyelining/highlighter pencil to line just at the inner corners of the eye for a more refreshed/wide eyed look. Use a dark brown or brown/black mascara to finish it off.

I want preferably an eyeshadow/eyeshadow palette that has a nice bright colour like a strong gold or baby blue.
I am considering ordering an eyeshadow palette from the Avon catologue but I know that the colours in the catologue can sometimes be misleading plus expensive, so are there any decent makes of eyeshadow out there that don't cost 拢3 or more each.

I own a few Avon eyeshadow palettes. They have some great colors to choose from and they generally look the same as in the magazine. The only thing I don't like about them is they don't last as long as I would like. I can use a good eyeshadow base under them and the color will make it until I get home from work (about 8 hours). My favorite that I've used so far is Clinique... It generally lasts all day and they have some great blue colors as well.What is the best value for money eyeshadow?

i find the eyeshowdow moose you can get, its very good!
If you are in the UK try TJ Hughes if there are any stores near you. They often have high end cosmetics at reduced prices! I got a fantastic Revlon quad eyeshadrow with beautiful green colours for 拢1.00! Well worth going for the more expensive brands with eyeshadows as they go on better and tend to last longer- just try to get them at a reduced rate!
well try wal mart they have nice eyeshadows i dont wear those kind i wear mac,estee lauder,or lancome n they work great
boots 17 and 7 range are great value and not bad quality.
The Body Shop has excellent eyeshadows that last. Avon, while they have excellent pallets of color selections, doesn't last as long on your eyelids. You might have to spend a bit more money for the Body Shop eye shadows, but it is worth it in the end cuz they last twice as long!!!!!
I'm not familiar with what is available in the UK so I can't recommend any brands to you...however, I think rather than collections of colors, you should go with SINGLE shades of shadow that you will actually use. They cost more at the time, but you also get more, and you don't pay for colors you won't need. Also, buy the little pots of color, and use your own brush. The brushes that come with the shadow are horrible anyway. Make the investment in a set of higher quality makeup brushes, then when you are buying the actual makeup, you don't have to pay extra for their crappy brush. Another thing is that the better brushes can take more thorough cleaning so they are safer to use on your eyes.
These compacts with 2-3-4 are color coordinated but if you don't use all of them it is wasteful. Most of the brands here in the United States have the same shades available individually, you can pick up one or two that fit your needs and leave it at that.
I would personally rather buy my makeup at a store where I can see what the real color is. Even better is if there is a sanitary way to try the product on your own skin, such as single use samples.
Whatever you decide, I think you are wise to shop for lower cost cosmetics. It all has to be thrown out frequently to keep a fresh supply...that is a safety concern, regardless of brand or price.
For the record I really don't like ';kits'; or ';sets'; of anything at all. You usually end up buying more than you wanted, just to get that one thing that you did want.
Try the Body Shop Shimmer Cubes. I have had a set for years and they look new even if I use them every day. they are 拢14 each but thats a Bargain.
