I want to know an effective way of blending eyeshadow because when I blend my eyeshadow together, the colors blended together look the same as if they weren't blended. How do you blend two different colors of eyeshadow together to make a new color?
With a Q-Tip?

Try mixing larger quantities of the colors together, or picking 2 colors that are really different. How do you blend two different colors of eyeshadow together to make a new color?
Ok obviously you want a new color to spice up your appearence. You have to pick colors that you think look good together. For example, I think blue and a soft green look good together. So I apply the color I like the best and dab on a little of the other color. You blend it a little with tool and there you go. A new color for you! And your problem with them looking the same, the colors are too alike.
take a small piece of one color and put it on a napkin then take the other color and put it on the 1st color then smoosh it with your finger and youll have the blend.
All you have to do is combine your favourite colour's.
when i blend my eyeshadow, i always buy new pods.

then i slice the amount of each color i want and place hem in a new pod.

then i gently crush together the chunks and voila there's a brand new color.
Always use a corner of a make-up sponge or an eyeshadow applicator, not your fingers, which will only cause infections. You could also use a small make-up brush. You need to apply the colors, then with a light sweep of the applicator, brush the join where the colors meet. You have to use different shades to get the right effect, such as dark blue and white which, when blended in the center, makes azure blue, a 3rd color.
apply both colors as you normally would. then take a blending brush, and lightly make tiny circles where the two colors meet with the tip of the brush, or use light windshield wiper motions. both ways will probably work, but some people prefer one over the other. the colors shouldn't look muddy or anything. keep practicing too. it took me a while to get it right.
