What color of eyeshadow looks best with dark blue eyes?

What color of eyeshadow would look best on someone with dark blue eyes, red hair, and and a moderately fair skin tone? Are there any that are light enough to go with whatever colors I'm wearing? What color of eyeshadow looks best with dark blue eyes?
browns and bronzes buring the day. but dont cover the wholw eye with the same color. the darker shade should be in your crease areas toward the outside of your eye. And for night, smokey eyes look great and really make the blue stand out. Use soft greys and even black, but use very lightly. Or if you want to do something different all together i would recommend getting fake eyelashes from a wallgreens sort of store (mod lash works well). Carefully put the eylashes on with glue, or get a friend to help and just wear those with a little mascara and some colored lip tint. A soft red or pink would be nice. It makes you look simple but stunning. And try and get the small eyelashes, big long ones just look funny. If the eyelash thing scares you go to the mall and Mac can put them on for you. The eyelashes there are $9. Nude colors work well with light skin. Good luckWhat color of eyeshadow looks best with dark blue eyes?
Pink and brown look good but not at the same time, lol
I have brown hair, blue eyes and light skin. For me, a dark purple makes my eyes pop really nice. Also, try a copper/gold shadow, or even browns. I have had nice results with them. And, as someone else stated, try a gray eye liner. But your best bet is to try different things. What works for one person doesn't look good on another. While you are playing around with color, go and play with the cheap brands (the kind that are less than $3.00) to get an idea of what colors look nice on you. Or you can go to a makeup counter and get a consultation. Best of luck.
it should be a color that compliments you eyes. try lighter colors until you find one that agrees with your eyes. sometimes less is better--

it sounds like u have a similar complexion to me(apart from the red hair), i had a make up consultaion about a year ago and the girl who did it told me to wear brown or grey eyeshadow but not too dark. She recomended putting a very pale beige(almost skin colour) or white eyeshadow all over the lid, then use the other colour over the bone just under ur eyebrow to highlight ur eye. hope this helps
black they will stand out
My suggestion would be to go to http://www.marykay.com/daryn_anderson and do the Virtual Makeover. You choose the model that best matches your eye and hair color and you'll be able to select the right shades. Also try taking the You've Got Style Quiz to find a complete color look that matches your personality and personal style! =)
You should never match your make-up with what you are wearing you can coordinate the colors but never try to match. Since your hair color in red and your eye color is blue (which or both primary color) Try secondary colors like green and purple. Green will always compliment your hair while purple will do the same for your eyes.
Try them all , ppick the closest model to your complexion, hair color, eye color and try makeup on them with this website: http://www.marykay.com/whatsnew/virtualm鈥?/a>
blue eyes go with anything except for blue,
any shade of pink, soft purple, browns with pink undertones, olive green with an undertone of brown. i recommend that you go to a MAC counter (if there is a place that carries MAC cosmetics around you) and check out these shadows, they are awesome with blue eyes, i have them: Sable, expensive pink, sumptuous olive, trax, beauty mark, cranberry. MAC eyeshadows, blend really well, but if it is too much for your budget just go to a drugstore and try to match the colors you've seen with a brand like Maybeline or Lorel. (hint:they are just as good, especially when on a budget)
Experiment until you find what works best for you. Try a gray liner, taupe shadow on the lid and a pale blue on the crease.
I work at Ulta and do make up, i also have Bright/dark blue eyes, browns bring them out the best, also a very calm shade of blue will work ok, but mix them up a bit. Almay has a line to fit the color of your eyes and it is wonderful, it is a eyeshadow kit thing thats no more than 6 bucks, check it out
Browns are the best for blue eyes. Blues will drown out your eye color.
usually, with eye makeup, you should wear the opposite color of your eyes. if you look at almay products, theres a whole line of eye makeup, each thing is marked for like what eye color you have
shimmery silver n hazel colour ll go fabulous
green make sure its not lime.
I have blu eyes also and through the years the way to make your eyes really ocme out are browns and blacks, no toomuch black that'll look over done. I use a brown on the bottom and a lite pinkish shimmer on top to blend it. then i use black liquid eyeline on top then a black pencil eyeliner on bottom, do not use too much liner on top. And what i've learned is never EVER where a color to match your outfit its tacky and your eyes wont stand out much because your eyeshadow will blend in with your outfit. if your rather pale use a lighter brown. Or put Champagne in Maybelline on your whole eyelid, right in your creASE use a dark brown, then take a lighter brown and go over just the top of that, the take the champagne color or a very lite brown shimmer and blend it in. I never where blues just because i find it takes away from my eyes. I also use a Green and a red the red makes your eyes bright and pop out.
i have dark blue eyes and im obsessed with light blue eyeshadow. . it makes ur eyes stand out. .
A light color such as ';champagne'; on the lid and a brown in the crease really draws out blue eyes.

What colors of eyeshadow should I wear for my eyes?

My eyes are mostly blue, but have significant green and gray content in them.

What eyeshadow colors should I wear to enhance the blue, or the green or the gray? Basically, I want to know what colors of eyeshadow will make each of the pigments in my eyes pop out.

Like, if I wanted to make the greenishness stand out, or if I wanted them to look more gray, or to really enhance the blue.

If that's confusing, let me know, and I'll try to explain better.

Thanks! What colors of eyeshadow should I wear for my eyes?
my eyes are grey, so you can imagine how dissapointed i am they are not blue or green.to make grey eyes or green stand out,use an aqua colour on them, and blend.or use a purple on the lid, a grey in the crease, and always blend a white shadow all over your lid before you start as it will help your eye makeup stay put.dont use a dark purple, but a light purple and buy a white eyeliner to line the inside of the bottom lid.this makes your eyes look opened up.especially if your tired. What colors of eyeshadow should I wear for my eyes?
The color of your eyes doesnt matter as much as the undertones of your skin. If you eyeshadow looks great with blue eyes but looks like 80's crap with your skin, it doesnt matter.

Prescriptives is a great makeup company that organizes their shadows based on the undertones of your skin. Their options are Yellow/Orange, Red/Orange, Red, and Blue/Red. So if you are in the Y/O category, they have a seperate set of shadows just for people like you that will match perfectly. Also, if you are looking for a more dramatic look that will make your eyes pop, you can use your opposite category. Its kinda like if you have a warm undertone, then use warm colors to match and cool colors to pop.

They organize all of their makeup this way so that you can shop on your own once they tell you your undertone.

Good Luck.
The colour theory of complimentary colours is what you want to look at.

The compliment to blue is orange, but since most people don't wear orange eyeshadow you could look into various shades of brown, copper, gold, peach or coral.

The compliment to green is red. Again, since most people don't wear red eyeshadow, check out different shades of purple, burgundy and pink.

Gray doesn't really have a compliment.. but since most gray eyes have flecks of yellow or brown, you could look at purple, teal or blue to bring that aspect out.
If you go to Wal-Mart or a cosmetic store they have these color enhancer eye wear makeup. I think Lor'eal makes them but I could be wrong. If you have blue eyes they recommend wear a certain color and if you have brown eyes they have colors for them. You should really check it out. Since your eyes are varied you could wear almost any color they would have available to make them stand out.
We need a picture. Because the shape of your eye's can effect it too.

But judging by what you're tell me, I'd go with this site which give's Mac Pigment samples: http://www.shopcraze.com/PageShop.aspx?c鈥?/a>

From that site, I'd try out the:

M.A.C Copper

M.A.C Electric Coral (very bright so I'd mix it with a white)

M.A.C Helium

M.A.C Golden Olive

There are many more but I honestly can't name them all XD

Oh, by the way, each of them are $2.25
Have you got a picture of your eyes?

I don't think i've ever seen a colour like yours lol sorry :(

But purple brings out greens, but that is normally on hazel eyes so i don't know if it counts for yours.

sorry if its not much help ;[

What color eyeshadow goes well with blue eyes?

Silver with black linerWhat color eyeshadow goes well with blue eyes?
Often match your eye shadow with your clothing. Also, a shimmery lavender eye or a smoky eye will look great. Avoid blue, browns, and golds. They will make you lose your eyes or appear that you're trying to hide them. For the smoky eye, stick to grays and charcoals.
If you go to Kroger, they have the new Almay makeup.

It is amazing. It is called like make your _____ eyes pop!

Or something like that.

They have it for all different color eyes, like blue, green, and hazel.

It comes with all the eyeshadow that will really enhance your blue eyes.

And seperatley you can buy the eyeliner.

Hope I hepled :D
lighter colors are better for blue eyes becuz a light shimmery color on ur lids will drag people to ur eyes making them seem brighter and more inviting ^__^

i usally use, gray eyeliner, black mascara and lightpurple or brown eyeshadow

if ur pale, then go with a light brown

if ur tan, use off white

if ur in between, use a light purple
i have medium blue eyes too and what i do is black eyeliner on the bottom then just a little bit of white eyeshadow on the whole eyelid. and mascara of course. hahh(:
If you want your blue eyes to stand out, use a blue eyeshadow or one that's slightly tinted blue. Even brown eyeshadows look gorgeous and make your eyes pop.

For eyeliner, I suggest brown or black.
I think white eyeliner would make your eyes really pop but it depends on your skin tone. If you're tan i wouldn't suggest the white eyeliner. Just try a light bit of black eyeliner if thats what you want.
brown becuz with that neutral color the blue will pop.

green and a soft brown go together great with green eyes Report Abuse

lesleym1214, I can't believe you don't think colour is for 40 year olds! How obtuse can you be! Mandy, do you agree with this also? Browns are fine and quite lovely, but color is wonderful! I hope Sunshine doesn't even read your remarks! Report Abuse

Try Brown or light blue. Almost anything looks good with green eyes.
Colors are not for 40 year olds, but brown goes great with green eyes.
lavender, silver blackish colors
If you want, check www.sephora.com. It is a wonderful cosmetic web site. In the eye-shadow section, there are many palettes specificaly designed by eye colour. It's what I do if I have a question!
All light shades of brown look great as long as you highlight the outside edge and right above the top lashes with some shade of green or aqua.
Try not to wear colors that are the same as your eye color as it drowns out your eyes. Enhance them with soft browns, then maybe work with a green eyeliner. Cover your lid with a soft beige or a soft white, take it up to the brow line. Put a darker brown on the outer corner of your eyelid, and a soft brown on the inside towards your nose.

Hope that helps a little if at all.

Purple is a very complimentary color on green or blue eyes. I'd get a few different shades to try out. I have blue eyes, and a good friend of mine is a makeup artist. If you have yellow-green eyes I know an eyeshadow that would look stunning. You need to try Nepal by the brand Cargo. You can find that at Sephora. I absolutely love that color on any one with green eyes, thats my favorite. Its like a beautful, bronze color. Anything bronze, gold, or purple will really complement your eyes and bring them out, just think about the color wheel. Opposite colors complement. Hope you like it as much as I do, I also have green eyes and love them!
I have the same colered eyes but darker skin

everyday-brown, apricot, purple, plum, deep khaki or forest green (because they are in the same greenish family, they brighten green eyes)

funky- gold,lime-green, really light green, bright purple (super modern)

Can lavender eyeshadow and black eyeliner look good together?

I'm a blonde with brown eyes, if that makes a difference. Can lavender eyeshadow and black eyeliner look good together?
Lavender looks good with any eye color as long as you blend. And as far as the black eyeliner, it's a basic that looks good with anything. If you're VERY fair, you might want to go with a brown liner to not be too extreme but there are few women that cannot wear either of these.

Do it!Can lavender eyeshadow and black eyeliner look good together?
Absolutely, as long as you dont over do it. If you are good with liquid liner, use that. Do your eyeliner first, getting a bit thicker towards the outer corners (u want a cat eye type of look). then do the eyeshadow with a pointed eyeshadow brush. You want to follow the line you've done with the eyeliner, but directly above it (so trace along the top of the eyeliner).. and make sure you do it at roughly the same thickness.

If you get any eyeshadow over your eyeliner, re-trace your eyeliner once your done.

If you want a more subtle look, do the eyeshadow first, all over your lids. then use a well-sharpened pencil, or a pointed liquid brush, and draw a very thin line along your eyelashes.
yes, but you need to be worrying about the skin tone that is going with the lavender eyeshadow....i think that it looks good on brunettes, but keep in mind that lavender ';sets off'; brown eyes, so therefore u only need a little black eye liner, from the outer edges to the middle of your top lid..... a little bronzer with lavender is nice, also use a nude or light pink lipstick or gloss...........
absolutely... make sure to blend the colors out, maybe try using a dark purple eyeshadow in the corner, and a plum in the crease. use the lavender as an all over lid color.

try smudging for a more smokey look.

    glad to help :]
i think it depends on wat ur wearing but maybe drop the black eyeliner and just use the lavender eyeshadow.
yeah, you just have to smoothly apply the eye liner in a thin line and only on the top. And make sure nothing is smudged!!!
As long as you dont over do the eyeliner, it would look pretty.
yes, i've used that color combination myself several times
i think it would look great!
I think that it might look nice. Just experiment and see what looks good
