What eyeshadow colors should you wear with particular outfits?

I normally wear natural browns, but I've been experimenting with blues and purples, and a charcoal smokey eye. If you're wearing an outfit with purple, should you wear purple eyeshadow? Or would you go with something more natural? When would colors like purple, blue, green and charcoal be appropriate? Thanks in advance for your answers :)

DON鈥橳 MATCH you color shadow with the color of your outfit. Pick a shadow that will go with it. If you have a purple outfit on go with brown colors form light to dark. I have the same appearance as you and if find that blue shadow doesn鈥檛 look that great. Natural is always best for any outfit. If your match ur eyeshadow 2 clothes its tacky. Ive seen it

Your age somewhat depends on what style of makeup you can get away with before you just look like a drag queen. I'm sixteen and I LOVE bright, bold colors, such at nice matte eyeshadow. So depending on your style and stuff it depends on if a more natural color would fit you better or not. Play around with it, I like to take a small color from the top I'm wearing and use it as an eyeshadow. But don't go for the most used color, for example, if you are wearing a blue shirt with purple stars, bring out that purple and maybe even fade into a blue in the outer corner of your eye.





If you think covering you full eyelid in eyeshadow is too much for your style try a colored eyeliner for a nice top eye line. Or dust some shadow right under your bottom waterline. Just really play with it. It doesn't always have to be bold nor does it have to always be subtle. Hope that helps!
