How do you keep eyeshadow from falling onto your cheeks?

Sometimes when I put eyeshadow on with brushes, it falls onto my cheeks..does anyone have any tips to prevent that?

Getting a little fallout from your eyeshadow is inevitable a lot of the time, but there are little tricks to make sure the smallest amount possible ends up under your eyes. Try patting the eyeshadow on with the brush rather than sweeping it on. Also, make sure you tap off the excess shadow on your brush before you begin applying.

It also helps to do your eye makeup before you do anything else. That way any fallout can be washed off or covered by your concealer and foundation. That's the easiest thing to do if you're in a rush and don't want to be extra careful about the way you apply your eyeshadow.

Hope I helped. :)
The reason that's happening is because there is excess shadow on the brush.

So when you apply shadow tap the brush against the container so it will fall off. Then when you put it on your eye lid, press the brush to your lid instead of sweeping it acrossed.

This will apply the shadow more bold and keep it from getting all over your cheeks.
Hi,

I know it sucks when that happens. Here's how I keep mine on my lids: First, get Vaseline or chap stick. Rub a little bit on your eye lids, then apply your eyeshadow. That's what I do and it doesn't fall off anymore. :) Hope this helps your eyeshadow issue!

Press the shadow onto to the cap if it's a pigment, if not, tapp the eccess off the brush, and press it onto the area you want to cover, don't wipe or sweep it, this will cause fallout, and a less even coating.

Good Luck. x
A lot of cosmetics companies (MAC included) make ';eye primer'; that you apply to your eyelids before putting on makeup. It helps your eye makeup stick so that it doesn't fall off or smudge as much.
Lean on a tissue while you put it on or put some extra powder on your cheeks ten just brush it off along with the eyeshadow when you're finished.
