How do you tell if eyeshadow is pigmented ?

I just looked through all my old makeup and found heaps of eye shadows, but i don't know how to tell if they're pigmented.How do you tell if eyeshadow is pigmented ?
If you put it on the back of your hand and it's light, then it is not very pigmented. Don't worry though, if it's not highly pigmented you can use eyeshadow primer like urban decay or too faced (get samples because they are like $17 and up) and put it on before you put on the eyeshadow and the color will be more pigmented.How do you tell if eyeshadow is pigmented ?
For that other girl that answered telling you that any eyeshadow that has color is pigmented, that is a big fat lie.


I have some eyeshadow from claires and they are not pigmented at all, even though they are really weird colors like purple and blue and green.


You can tell if your eyeshadow is pigmented by putting your finger in it, moving it around a bit and placing it on your hand, the outside of it.


of on your wrist.


If the color actually shows up, this means that it is pigments, if the color doesn't show up, it means that it isn't pigmented.

eyeshadow with color is pigmented. mac cosmetics have a high intensity pigment, which means that you dont need a lot for it to show up. in fact, they actually have pigments that are loose powder at a high intensity. so if they show up, they are pigmented.
it wasnt a big fat lie when she said that if it has color its pigmented. anything with color has pigment=fact. extremely pigmented has a better color pay off than eyeshadow with a less pigmented color.
