So, I really like Revelon's eyeshadow. It says it's suppose to stay on for like 8 hours. Then, I got a stick of Revelon cover up stuff that's kinda liquidish, and that's suppose to stay on for 16 hours. Um. It still creases!!!!!! So, what method works best? Please, every and anything welcome! How do you get eyeshadow to actually stay on all day without creasing on the eyelid?

eyeshadow primer by urban decay at sephora
$17
Apply it lightly each coat. Don't stretch the skin. Stick with powders.
Moisturizer first adds a great base.
Use a base and put translucent powder over the eyeshadow but not to much. a base can be cream or liquid, which ever is bettert for your skin type. oh and moisturize the eyes. thats really important
makeup base...and i heard that a little hairspray works too.
but if you really want it to stay longer, get urban decay eyeshadow from shephora.
Put on some concealer on your lid before you apply the eyeshadow. This will help hold the eyeshadow all day.
You really just need to find a good brand of makeup and make sure you dont apply too much.
A good base coat, tan and very little color is good to start with, then use the color that you want. You need to apply only a thin a layer. If it is a good shadow then a thin layer will show the true shade and will stay all day. The more layers and the more product you add to your face the more it will crease, crack and crumble.
If you want help with good base coat colors, feel free to go to my website below and click on contact me, I can show you the colors in my makeup and then you can use that and purchase or use your own.
I totally feel your pain!!! Urban Decay Eyeshadow ';potion'; I believe it's called. It's a little pricy, but I've tried a few, and this is GREAT!!! Just remember to apply and then pat it in (try not to rub), then put on your eyeshadow. Try it!!! I will swear by it.
go to a makeup stand in the mall and ask
I like the revlon products too. Nothing is fool proof. The eyelid is sensitive so prepare for touch ups

How Do I apply eyeshadow without it smudging or getting on my lashes?
Its always difficult for me.How Do I apply eyeshadow without it smudging or getting on my lashes?
You need a good brush meant for applying eyeshadow..dip the small brush into the shadow and then just put it on your entire lid..are you using like a liquid shadow? That does get in your lashes easily..but for me regular eyeshadow doesn't get in my lashes..if this doesn't help then you can always put on dark mascara and then you won't notice the eyeshadow=)How Do I apply eyeshadow without it smudging or getting on my lashes?
Apply a base to your eyelid before adding color. You should be applying the eyeshadow before you add mascara. Make sure you blend the color in with a good brush. Are you using cheap eyeshadow? If so, you may want to upgrade a bit.
I know meeh too! I had the same problem until i was watching this tyra show about applying cosmetics and apperantly the best thing to do is take a piece of tape, close your eyes and tape your eyelashes to your face. Use an eye shadow brush and apply! I know it sounds bizzare but it works! and it also gives you a fresh celeb. looking eye shadow look! You can also log onto Tryashow.com and she has tons of makeup tips there! or seventeen.com they also have some!
Good LUck!

i use those littl cotton swabs
*~*I would highly recommend using a brush/eyeshadow applicator (like the one linked below; it's only $1.60 and you can easily clean them by using luke warm water %26amp; a mild soap such as baby shampoo). I guarantee that if you use this brush (or a similar one), your eyeshadow will not get onto your lashes or smudge. HTH!! ;) *~*

How to make my eyeshadow look professionally done?
I have eyeshadow and I know how to put it on and everything, but it just looks to powdery hello-kitty-ish. I want something that looks more like how the celebs wear it, it looks more mature reather than looking bleh. You know what I mean?? LIke model make-up, their eyeshadow looks on and shiny and pretty, but mine looks powdery and kid-ish. What can I do?How to make my eyeshadow look professionally done?
Professional makeup artists use the top quality makeup and tools. You'll want to buy high quality makeup and makeup brushes in order to get the best application. I found out that when I bought a full set of Sephora makeup brushes, not only was it more fun to apply makeup, but the overall look was more polished. For makeup brushes, I would recommend Sephora's Professional Platinum brushes. For makeup, I would recommend Stila, Smashbox, Chanel, Versace, and Laura Mercier.
Although there is no replacement for their experience doing makeup (which is why a pro makeup job looks best), you can practice to improve your technique. Another important aspect of getting professional-looking results is to blend very well. There shouldn't be any obvious lines, and everything should appear to seamlessly blend together. Another important aspect is choosing the right colors for your complexion that will complement your skintone, eyecolor, and work well with your haircolor.
How to make my eyeshadow look professionally done?
The first task is finding an eye shadow that matched your skin tone. Go to the makeup counter at the store and they will gladly help you with that!
Then you need to find 3 shades of the same color. Sometimes different companies will sell them all in one compact. Try looking for Covergirl and Maybelline.
Then for the lightest tone, apply to your brow bone (right under your eyebrow) but not too much, and try to blend it in a little. Then for the nuetral shade apply that to your whole eyelid. And finally for the darkest shade apply directly above your eyelid, not too much though. Just a thin line of the darkest color will work great!
Then what I do personally, is put on some liquid liner, and blend in the outer corners with some black eyeshadow.
You'll look great!
Good luck!
If you live in a decent size city or town try and see if you have a make-up counter in the mall called Mac. If not go to any trendy make-up counter as them how they would put on your make-up and they will show you how to look my adult. I personally do half and half on just the eye lid and it looks fabulous.
well first off, you want to get a good quality eyeshadow or two, my favorite combo is MAC's Woodwinked all over the lid and Espresso in the crease for that celeb. look. next is to get a good brush to apply them with, possible a crease brush as well. when you apply the shadows make sure you blend them really well, so that you dont have harsh lines.
well this is how i do it....First put on eye liner but not that cheap pencil kind a good kind. Then put on cream eye shadow and then some sparkles....ANd to top it off put on a lot ofmascaraa.

light brown eye shadow with blue eyes, glossed lips. What color lipstick and eyeshadow goes best with blue eyes?
Lipstick should not be too intense so it doesn't take any attention away from beautiful blue eyes.. accentuate the eyes with a little black eyeliner and nothing else. for lipstick go for lip gloss, MAC has lots of kinds that are really shiny and will make the lips look fuller. Good luck!

What are some MAC eyeshadow essentials I should add to my collection?
I'm getting paid next week and plan on buying lots of wearable and fun MAC shades. I already own the following:
Vanilla
Retrospeck
Ricepaper
Honey Lust
Club
Steamy
Bamboo
Care to give me any suggestions on what to buy?
Also, if you have any color suggestions for the MAC Paint Pots, I'll gladly take them as well. :)What are some MAC eyeshadow essentials I should add to my collection?
Bare Study paint pot is a great item to have on hand. It works great as a base but also as an eyeshadow by itself. It has a bit of shimmer. But is so flattering on most skin tones.
I would also recommend
Sumptuous Olive
Brule
Amber Lights
Soba
Carbon
Hope this Helps

What color eyeliner and eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes look really pretty?
My eyes are a really dark brown. They look almost black because they are so dark
Also so my boyfriend will look at them and say wow??What color eyeliner and eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes look really pretty?
Soft pink will really bring your eyes out. Keep eyeliner to a minimum - just use it to lightly frame your eyes. Avoid black
Also, dark brown eyes look stunning lined in shades of plum (mix with a pale mauve shadow), aubergine (mix with a shimmery light pink shadow), raisin (mix with a mushroomy soft brown shadow) or charcoal , just remember to combine with a lighter shadow or your eyes may look more dramatic. What color eyeliner and eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes look really pretty?
Hi, I have dark green eyes so I know how hard it can be to work with a dark color. I think you should try to use maybe a light blue, or maybe a you could use a beige or some tones of brown or some greens but be careful because really light light colors like light pink or baby pink may not work too well.
Black liquid eyeliner, eyeshadows : tanish, bronze, beige, silver, grey, black.
i have black eyes too... but you dint mention the tone of your skin... i think black eyeliner and brown mascara should be perfect for you... eyeshadow usually will be cool if it matches your dress but with black i usually like browns and light pinks... light pink makes you look more girlyyyy... browns usually go with all dress colors and for all occassions...
brown eyeliner and teal, silvery eyeshadow. it'll make your eyes stand out wonderfully! also a bit of dark brown mascara and peachy blush
You'd be surprised.
But dark eyed girls do look good in dark colours.
Try using natural colours such as brown or gold. (I know gold isn't so natural)
Also, don't put it all over your eyes..try doing it just above your lashes so that it shows and excentuates your eyes but doesn't make you look gothic. I do it sometimes with browns and dark blues.
Shiny/shimmery colours such as gold and copper look really nice too. As far as the eyeliner goes...Don't put too much. Put just enough for it to blend in with your eyelashes so that it looks like you have on a bit of mascara.
It works every time.
black eyeliner and a smokey brown eyeshadow in the crease and a pretty gold on the lid. also use a few coats of black mascara. it would look great.
eyeliner- black or black/brown on top and bottom
eyeshadow- cocoa for your browbone and a pastel pink for your eyelids and around your eyeliner.
Also try a baby blue eye color to accent your eyes- in the crease of your eyelid.

How do you make eyeshadow look cute?
I can NEVER get it right! It always looks uneven. How do you apply it and what with? Any tips would be great. 10 points for the best! How do you make eyeshadow look cute?
It takes practice, and with the proper techniques you should be great. You apply eye shadow with many types of brushes, go to youtube and look up ';makeup tutorials'; they hold all your answers. How do you make eyeshadow look cute?
You either apply with this:
http://www.planetbeauty.com/brands/Illum鈥?/a>
How to apply:
You can't really learn to apply it by pictures. So this is what I do, with a clean fresh brush I put the eyeshadow on with gentle wavy strokes on my eyelid. I make sure it is all going in the right place and if it goes out a little I just wipe it either with my finger if it is a powder eyeshadow but a wipe if it is liquid. Though, if you just play around you should be able to find your own perfect way on how to apply it.
Good luck!
You have to have a brush set. The sponge applicators most come with are junk. You can get brushes at Target or anywhere for cheap!
http://www.target.com/Sonia-Kashuk-Essen鈥?/a>
It's a lot to explain online (brush by brush), but if you want, go to your local Macy's and have a consultation with any counter. I'd suggest one of the big 4 (Estee Lauder, Lancome, Dior, or Chanel)- they have the best colors to work with for a beginner, and can explain everything you need to know. And it's free!
